From the Portland Hope Ball website: "All proceeds raised through the Portland Hope Ball support the Society's mission of funding cancer research, education, and support programs. This research has led to life-saving information and the development of state-of-the-art technology. Hope Ball proceeds also support the Society's education efforts – which bring more awareness to cancer in our community – and support services that provide patients, survivors and their families with a better quality of life.
The American Cancer Society hopes "Masquerade" will raise $240,000 for cancer research, $64,000 of which directly supports Camp Ukandu and the Cancer Survivor College Scholarship Program."
