A recently passed Oregon Senate Bill increased the time contractors have to give notice of claim from 120 days to 180 days after the day the person last provided labor or furnished materials. The new time limit went into effect on May 6, 2009 and applies to contracts first advertised or entered into (if not advertised) after the effective date.
