Arnold Gray and Angela Otto recently resolved a complex construction defect case for one of their long-standing contractor clients. Although the owner alleged damages in excess of $1.6 million, Arne and Angie limited their client’s exposure to just $180,000 – a mere eleven percent of the total damages claimed. The remaining amount ultimately recovered by the owner was recovered from the client’s subcontractors and suppliers due to Arne and Angie’s ability to shift liability from the client to those that actually performed the allegedly defective work and/or supplied the allegedly defective material incorporated into the project.
